Well we’re in the midst of recording a song collection. Still of an undetermined length.

But in a couple weeks Sandman Viper Command is putting down the studio mics and heading south of the boarder. We aren’t going it alone. Luckily, hosting us will be an amazing sonic outfit from Chicago.

We’ve been far too neglectful for too long.  It’s so hard to see you guys with those ’1999, you didn’t buy me a Furby for christmas’ eyes. But we’ve have been busy working overtime to afford those necessities.

CMW 2012 has come and gone, and another couple pages in the family photo album have been accumulated. We were so lucky to play next to bands like Zeus, The Inbreds, Said the Whale, The Archives, The Balconies and so many others. And with hundreds of shows going on we got to see some amazing acts as well. Personal favorites were Ewert and the 2 Dragons, Topanga, Joel Plaskett Emergency, and seeing Tupperware Remix Party busking in front of the Fairmont.

But what concerns us is the ‘new music’ neglect that has been occuring for so long.  We have only released 2 songs since our debut album 4 years ago. that shit Cray. 

So we’ve returned to our favorite musical playground, the Barn Window Recording Studio. With our favorite playground supervisor and producer, Dave King, to bring a new age of Sandman to your ears!

Once this EP has been forged, we will celebrate. With a release at the Horseshoe Tavern at the end of May. Playing alongside our american compadre’s, Archie Powell and the Exports. 

Waiting that long is such a shame though, and unnecessary. We will be at the Horseshoe (new songs in hand) on April 16th, alongside the dirty, southy styles of White Denim. God damn what a bill. If you aren’t experienced with these fellas, please do yourself the favour.
