Sandman Viper Command

Sunday Oct 28th were hitting the stage at the Casbah with an awesome lineup, including local dance shit disturbers who uses my favorite appendage in their name, New Hands.

Then get soaked in pop vocal harmonies for a good 45 minutes or so, from a band who road there bikes all the way from P.E.I just because the weather was fair.

Another week of Pop Montreal rapidly approaches and we aren’t going to miss it. In fact, we cant get enough smoked meat to fill our faces. So we’re going to stay for a few nights, play a few shows. And we most probably have some new songs this year. So come hear the sound of Sandman 2012!

And on the 19th we’re going to spend a night at the Mansion House in Kingston for YGK fest! come out kingstonites, frosh week is over.

To keep it short, we wont be trekking out to Ottawa next week for the 16th to play Zaphods. Sorry to neglect you Ottawa. We’ll make it up to you soon. 

On the good news side of things, Sandman has found a rental vehicle to get us to your to our show dates! 

On a recent, month long tour. Our most often faithful van was ditched in a parking lot in Ottawa. After seemingly snapping something in the transmission block, at a Subway sandwich stop outside of our destination, our van limped in to Ottawa where she seemed not to be able to travel further. Thus we concluded on tour in a Mazda 3 to the east coast and home.

BENJ the van, feeling forgotten on a cement parking desert, had to be rescued. CAA wasn’t going to help this time. So we got a big ass pick-up truck, a U-Haul trailer, and a couple snacks and hit the road.

Long Story short, BENJ finally made it home. Her future still hangs in the balance. Can Sandman Viper Command withstand a bill for a broke ass transmission? Updates as they happen. 

So here’s BENJ in her U-Haul chariot, you can sit this drive out.

oh Edgfest 2011, you were lovely. Edgefest 2012 just came and went, got us all nostalgic feeling. So he’res us and a super fun friend appreciating the finer things in life, each other.
